The Listening Sessions

I ordered this on Vinyl as a present but ended up keeping it due to my selfishnessBeing that someone adviced me to buy a record player thats exactly what i set out to do. The morning after, I found the right record player. The antiquesh look and 5 in 1 capability was enough to intrigue me. The moment I got home I played the records over and over. Rapper J.Cole sets the bar high with an album that overwhelms the masses when it comes to story telling. His playful metaphors help seperate him from basic rappers. When we listen to an album like J.Cole’s we connect with the artist thru his pain and experience. We give him permission to create thee inception that brings us towards success.

The Listening Sessions

Once I get into my car every morning. My copy of the Joey Badass album “B4DA$$” starts up again, from where it last stopped.

Immediately I’m drawn into that urban, New York style and swag of rapping and just free expression. You will get lost in thought trying figure out what his every word means but from what I’ve captured was images portrayed by emphasis and tones in his verses. To be taken to a different environment and setting based on a story told and unfolded by a rapper with so much charisma is beyond talent. This albums body of work is the blue print for the future of rap within hiphop and its state of continuity.
